Martha Cooper

Martha Cooper is a documentary photographer renowned for capturing the rise of graffiti, hip-hop, and street culture in New York City during the 1970s and 1980s. Best known for the influential book Subway Art, created with Henry Chalfant, her photographs have inspired generations of street artists around the world. Cooper has also documented many of the iconic murals and artists at Wynwood Walls, helping preserve the evolution of contemporary street art through her lens.
