Dan Lam

Dan Lam is a contemporary artist born in the Philippines and raised in Texas. She is known for her distinctive sculptural works — often called "squishes" and "drips" — that feature bulbous, organic forms covered in spiky, textured surfaces and finished in gradient color palettes of vivid pinks, blues, and purples. Lam holds a BFA from the University of North Texas and an MFA from Arizona State University. Her tactile, otherworldly sculptures blur the line between attraction and repulsion, drawing on themes of bodily forms and natural phenomena. She has exhibited widely across the United States and internationally, and her work has been featured in numerous publications.
